The Department of Oral Implantology at A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences is an abode for numerous rehabilitation cases which are performed by professionals with utmost skill and latest procedures. Relocated to the new premises, the department boasts of state of the art operatories, laboratories and clinical sections under a single roof. The department aims at steadfast delivery of up to date knowledge through didactic lectures and live demonstrations and also providing supreme mentorship to guide the students with the use of sophisticated technology during the hands on clinical sessions. In addition to this department promote research activities and organize CDE programs for enhanced learning.

Services
- The surgical as well the prosthetic rehabilitation is undertaken in a scheduled and a timely fashion in the department.
- We undertake basic procedures such as rehabilitation of single as well as multiple missing areas of the oral cavity along with advanced procedures like full mouth rehabilitations, sinus lift surgeries, hard tissue augmentations and piezosurgeries.
- Fellowship and certificate programmes in field of Oral implantology.
Achievements
- The International Team for Implantology, a global organization for Implantology, has also recognized our Oral Implantology BASIC LEVEL as it fulfilss the ITI regulations where students can avail ITI Fellowship
- Prof.Dr. Rakshith Hegde received fellowship from The International Team for Implantology, He is also an education delegate for ITI
- University recognized One year full time Fellowship in Dental Surgery-Oral Implantology
