The Alumni Association of Nitte Usha Institute of Nursing Sciences organized a Regional Alumni Meet and inauguration of the Mangalore Chapter on 3rd November 2023 at Chintana Hall, Justice K S Hegde Hospital. The event commenced with a prayer, followed by welcome address by Dr. Neetha Kamath, Jt. Secretary of the Association. The Meet was inaugurated by the Chief Guest & Resource Person, Brahmakumari Sneha from the Brahmakumaris Mangalore Branch. In her talk on the theme "The Power of One Thought - Master Your Mind, Master Your Life", she emphasized the significance of life, unity and purity of one's mind.

Mr. Prasanna Kailaje, Director (Student Welfare & Alumni Association), Nitte DU graced the event as the Guest of Honor. He explained the importance of alumni reunions and provided insights into the Almashine portal. Prof. Fatima Dsilva elucidated the pivotal role alumni play in the institution's development and encouraged all alumni to actively participate in future events. During the event, 6 outstanding alumni were felicitated for their contributions. Dr. Anupama DS, Dr. Nalini M and Dr. Suchithra BS were recognized for their contributions to education, while Ms. Nisha was commended for her exceptional patient service. Mrs. Mable Baptist and Mrs. Supriya were acknowledged for their contributions to nursing service and administration.

The Alumni Association's Treasurer, Mrs. Cleeta Pinto, organized exciting games for the alumni. Alumni members entertained the audience with their cultural performance. The show was compered by Mrs. Jeevitha Alva.

About one hundred alumni and twenty staff members attended the Meet.
